Men’s Winter Doubles Competition
A dozen men competed in the men’s winter doubles competition last Monday night. As usual the round robin series of matches were completed and the points placings had John Galvin and Niall Gallagher playing Harry O’ Rourke and Jimmy Raleigh in the A final while the B final was between Des Windsor Mc Glynn and John Cooney against Martin O’ Rourke and Kieran Mc Carthy. John and Niall won the A final collecting four points each, Harry and Jimmy gained three points each. In the B final Des and John Cooney overcame Martin and Kieran, both sets of players getting two and one point each respectively. All male members are welcome to partake in this league every Monday night.
Senior Winter Leagues
Harry and Martin O’ Rourke, Pawel Michalski and Richard Frank were winners in their first league matches during the past week. Anna Walsh was the sole lady winner, all players are reminded that matches must be completed by 29th March 2018. As usual the Pyramids will be revised after the league on a two up, two down basis. The matches are the best of three sets - The third set may be a 'match tie-break'. Please record the results on the sheets posted in the clubhouse. All matches must be played asno walkovers are allowed.

Club Nights
Club nights continue every Monday, this is an opportunity for male members to play in our winter doubles league, just come along at 7.30.
Paula Dowling and Mary O’ Neill were back playing some excellent tennis last Tuesday.
Deirdre Cox and George Bodor, back after his winter holidays were the most competitive couple in the mixed doubles friendly competition last Thursday.
