Adult Coaching
Lisa Brennan is starting adult coaching Saturday 24th starting at 1.30. Coaching is for adult members and for adults who wish to come along and participate in the tennis lessons. Please contact Lisa at 0862215843 to book your place.
Men’s Doubles Winter League
We had an unique situation last Monday when the round robin series of matches ended with all teams on twelve points each. An open draw pitted Tim Clarke and Marek Rose against Kieran Mc Carthy and Jimmy Raleigh in the first semi-final while Des Windsor Mc Glynn and Oisin Stronge competed against John Galvin and Dave Costello in the second semi-final. In the A final Tim and Marek overcame Des and Oisin both teams collecting 4 and 3 points respectively. In the B final Kieran and Jimmy added 2 points to their total while John and Dave got one point each.
This league ends this St Patrick’s bank holiday Monday with Dave Costello on 24 points closely followed by Harry O’ Rourke on 23. Des Windsor has 21 points with Marek Rose in fourth place on 20 points. Summer time will see the commencement of the men’s spring doubles league and all members are welcome to join in every Monday or any Monday as it suits.
Senior Winter Leagues
It could be a straight shootout between Martin and Harry O’ Rourke for the top spot in Group A of the men’s league and also the pinnacle of the men’s pyramid. Pawel Michalski and Tim Clarke are going well in Group B with Richard Frank and John Cooney the early leaders in Group C. Anna Walsh is unbeaten in Group B and Laura Hunt had a good win also in this group of the ladies league with Roisin Casey leading Group C. All players are reminded that matches must be completed by 29th March 2018.

Club Nights
Tim Clarke and Marek Rose were the winning combination during men’s session last Monday night. Paula Dowling and Rose Costello were in the groove during ladies night for tennis last Tuesday. Deirdre Cox and Richard Frank were the most competitive duo in the mixed doubles last Thursday.
