Summer Camp
Our second summer camp begins Monday 30th July and ends Friday 4th August. The summer camp caters for members and non-members of our club. The camp is suitable for children age five to twelve. Further details and to register are available from Clem 0864022490.
Longford Open
Laura Hunt was twice a winner at the Longford open last Sunday. She won the ladies C singles competition and then partnered with Christine Gleeson from Galway to win the ladies doubles C event. Pawel Michalski won the men’s B singles cup and he teamed up with Lisa Brennan in the mixed doubles A event but were narrowly defeated. Des Windsor Mc Glynn and Richard Frank were finalists in the men’s B competition losing out to the Murphy men from Mullingar.
Men’s Doubles Summer League
Pat Conway, Kieran Mc Carthy and Marek Rose were the winners in the men’s doubles summer league last Monday and this league continues every Monday from 7.30 to 9.30.
Club Nights
Club nights continue thrice weekly, men, ladies and mixed doubles players competing every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday respectively.
Coaching
Clem will continue coaching for junior members each Saturday morning. Children ages 4-7 have lessons from 10 to 11 o clock, children 8-12 at 11 o clock and teenagers up to 18 years from 12 to 1 o clock. Further details from Clem 0864022490. Just turn up and join in!
Lisa continues coaching every Saturday. Coaching is for adult members and for adults who wish to come along and participate in the tennis lessons. Interested persons may contact Lisa at 0862215843 for further details.
