Senior Club Championships
The draws for all our senior club championships will be this Saturday 8th and closing date for registration is Friday 7th which can be done on the official forms in the clubhouse. The finals will be played Saturday 29th September.
Men’s Doubles Summer League
Rob Kearney and Cathal Kenny were the winners in the last round of the men’s summer doubles league last Monday. Kieran Mc Carthy and Dave Costello were runners up with John Cooney and Pat Conway in third place. Marek Rose and Nigel Coyle were in fourth place. The overall winner, after three months of exciting competitive tennis, was Dave Costello with 29 points. John Cooney was runner up on a score of 25 points while Marek Rose achieved one point less.
Club Nights
Rob and Cathal can claim bragging rights in the final summer doubles league completion. Our new autumn doubles league will commence soon. Mary Mc Carthy and Cathy Smith were among the group of ladies competing last Tuesday in a friendly competition. Deirdre Cox and Marek Rose were a formidable combination in Thursday’s mixed doubles event.
Junior Competitions
Lisa is organising junior competitions every Sunday from 2 to 4pm and all junior members are welcome to participate in these friendly events. The club will also be organising an autumn league for juniors. Further details from Lisa at 0862215843.
Coaching
Clem will continue coaching for junior members each Saturday morning. Children ages 4-7 have lessons from 10 to 11 o clock, children 8-12 at 11 o clock and teenagers up to 18 years from 12 to 1 o clock. Further details from Clem 0864022490. Just turn up and join in!
