Senior Summer Singles Leagues
Anna Walsh and Julie Costello have enjoyed early wins in Group 1 of the ladies singles summer league. Yvonne Walsh and Amie Maher are the early pace setters in Group 4 having doubles wins each. Louise Costello also was a winner in that group also. It is the most active and competitive group so far. Harry O’ Rourke and Dave Costello are the early pace setters in Groups 1 and 2 of the men’s league. Two happy players will be promoted from each group with the winners of the group 1 in each league reaching the pinnacle of their respective pyramids. All matches to be completed by 15th August with no walk overs allowed.

Men’s Summer Doubles League
George Viking Bodor and John Hannon combined to collect four points each, in the men’s doubles summer league last Monday. It was John’s first outing as a senior player. Other players to debut on the night were Benny Maginess, Kevin Nolan and Samir Ouzougagh. In second place collecting three points were Kevin Nolan and Marek Rose. Harry O’ Rourke and Joe Dalby were third placed while duos John Cooney & Jerome Schuwey, Jimmy Raleigh & Rob Kearney, Dave Costello & Samir Quzougagh, and Benny Mageniss & John Bray were also awarded points. Draw for partners in next Monday’s competition is at 7.30.
Wednesday’s Ladies Competition
The ladies were unfortunate once again as last Wednesday’s weather was unseasonal once again. The forecast looks promising for this week’s ladies’ session, draw for partners is at 7.30, all lady members welcome to participate in the action.
Thursday’s Mixed Doubles Competition
It was all action on the four courts, with eight couples competing, last Thursday. Two groups of four competed in a round robin series of matches. The winners from each group were Lola Fernandez Palos & Marek Rose and Evgeniya Yurchenko & Isaac Saz Palos. Jacinta Digby & Michael Doheny and Rose Costello & Sai Palada were runners up. Couples Mary O’ Neill & Kieran Mc Carthy, Mary Jo O’ Farrell & Richard Frank, Deborah Mc Keown & Pat Conway and Dave Costello & J. Butler enjoyed two hours of pleasant, social competition.
Covid 19 Recommendations
All members are urged to bring their own hand sanitizer, however the club will provide some where necessary. The use of the clubhouse is only to be used to access the toilets, one person in the clubhouse at any one time please.
Summer Camps
We are planning to organise summer camps later, towards the end of July and in August, details will be posted here and on face book as soon as possible.

Online booking will be available to all members this week, through our website and will replace the existing booking sheet. Password and rules will be posted when all is set up. Interested potential members can see details about club membership and make the necessary payment by filling in the bank details on line.
Sunday’s Mixed Doubles
Duos Anne Dooley/Marek Rose and Lola Fernandez Palos/Dave Costello enjoyed competitive action last Sunday morning. Sunday’s competition starts at eleven every week and all members are welcome to join in the fun games and matches.
